Nanjing First Hospital Orthopedics Department
Nanjing first hospital is both the affiliated hospital and the third teaching school of Nanjing Medical University .It is located in the urban area of Nanjing City which is the capital city in Jiangshu province near to Shanghai, and has 1000 beds.
The orthopedics department has 118 beds, and is the key department named by Jiangshu Provincial health bureau.There are twenty six doctors in the orthopedics department ,among which are 3 chief doctors ,8 associate chief doctors ,7 attending doctors,and 8 residents. About 1200 patients are treated in the inpatient service and about 29,000.ones are treated in the outpatient service annually.The department is divided into four parts: trauma,joint, spine, and hand surgery .The surgical procedures performed by our doctors include: fracture open reduction and internal fixation, anterior and posterior approach instrumentation for spinal tumor,infection,and degenerative diseases, endoscopically-assisted discectomy, artificial joint replacement,knee and shoulder arthroscopy , arthroscopical anterior and posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction,free vascularized complex tissue flap to be bridge-crossed to repair soft tissue defect, forearm allograft ,and thumb reconstruction .
We hope to establish a long-term cooperation and scientific exchange in the fields of clinical technology,especially in shoulder arthroscopy ,endoscopically -assisted spinal surgery ,and other leading procedures in Orthopedics.
